1. Introduction:

This Privacy Policy explains how Bank Al Etihad plc ("Bank," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information in connection with our mobile application ("Application") that offers access to a trading platform ("Platform") provided by GTN Middle East Financial Services (DIFC) Ltd. (“GTN”). We are committed to safeguarding the personal information of users that use the Platform (“User”, “you”, “your”). Your privacy is important to us, and we are committed to safeguarding your personal information.

2. Definitions

Account	means the trading Account you create to use GTN's trading Platform.
Application	refers to the Bank’s online banking application provided for the use of its end users.
GTN	refers to the company or entity providing the trading platform and associated services made available through the Application.
Personal Data	encompasses data provided by Users, including but not limited to name, email address, phone number, financial information, and any other information that can be used to identify or contact the User. Personal Data may also include data related to a User's trading activities, such as order history, transaction records, and account balances, as well as any other information that is directly or indirectly associated with an individual's identity or trading activities on the Platform.
Platform	refers to the trading Platform provided by GTN, which can be accessed through Bank Al Etihad's banking Application.
Social Information	has the meaning ascribed to it under section 5 hereunder.
User	refers to an individual who downloads, installs, and uses the Application and engages in trading activities on the Platform.

3. Data Usage

We may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of your Personal Data to provide our services and improve user experience, which may include:

Identity Data: includes first name, last name, date of birth, gender, passport and ID.
Contact Data: includes billing address, email address and contact details.
Personal Data: family, lifestyle, and social circumstances (e.g., marital status, dependents), education and employment information.
Financial Data: includes bank account and payment card details.
Transaction Data: includes details about the transactions performed by you, details about payments, withdrawals, exchanges, trading history, profit, balance, deposit and withdrawal amount and methods, and any other details in relation to the services you have made use of through our website.
Profile Data: includes your Account details, username and password, transactions made by you, your interests, preferences, feedback and/or information received through your interaction with us within the course of providing our services.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

To provide and maintain the Application and Platform.
To process transactions, deposits, and withdrawals.
To personalize and improve your user experience.
To send you updates, alerts, and other notifications related to your Account and the trading Platform.
To enforce our terms and conditions and other legal obligations.
To conduct data analytics, research, and for marketing purposes.

5. Information collection

We use different methods to collect your data, including through:

Direct Interactions: when you provide to us your identity, contact data and financial data online through the Application and/or corresponding with us by email or otherwise. Data is submitted to us when you wish to:

Register for a trading account;
Register for a demo account;
Subscribe to our publications and ongoing updates;
Request marketing and promotions to be sent to you;
Enter a competition, promotion or survey; and/or
Give us feedback or contact us.

We can also collect Personal Data specifically through information received from third parties who provide services to you or us, information gathered from publicly available sources and information collected when you interact with any of our social media pages and which you elect to provide to us, such as your contact details (collectively “ Social Information”)

6. Disclosure of data

The Bank shall not disclose any of its User’s confidential information to any third party except: (a) with User’s permission; (b) to the extent that it is required to do so, in accordance to any applicable laws, regulatory bodies, or law enforcement agencies; (b) if there is a duty to the public to disclose; (c) if our legitimate business interests require disclosure; (d) when required for providing our products and services; (e) with third parties providing services to us; (f) in the case of a proposed sale, transfer, or transaction relating to our company; (g) as part of anonymized or aggregated data shared with third parties.

The Bank may disclose your Personal Data to the following:

any members of the Bank’s group, which means that any of our ultimate holding companies and their respective subsidiaries;
our associates and service providers, for business purposes, including third parties such as business service providers and specialist advisers who have been contracted to provide us with administrative, financial, legal, tax, compliance, insurance, research or other services;
business parties, courts and regulatory authorities as agreed or authorized by law;
anyone authorized by you.

7. Data retention

We store your data for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected it for as outlined in paragraph 3 above unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. We may retain your Personal Data for a longer period in the event of a complaint or if we reasonably believe there is a likelihood of litigation in respect to our relationship with you.

8. Your rights

You have certain rights, subject to the applicable laws, regarding the Personal Data we process about you including:

The right to object to certain processing activities.
The right to request correction of inaccurate Personal Data.
The right to request deletion of your Personal Data.
The right to request restriction of processing.
The right to receive your Personal Data in a portable format.
The right to withdraw consent for processing, where applicable

9. Data security

We take appropriate measures to ensure the security of your Personal Data, by placing measures to prevent your Personal Data from being accidentally lost, used, or accessed in an unauthorized way. In addition, we limit access to your Personal Data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties. However, no data transmission or storage method can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for being alert to scams and tricks.

10. Applicable law

This Agreement shall be governed by the Laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Any dispute arising between the parties shall be settled by the Court of Amman (Palace of Justice).

11. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may change this Privacy Policy at any time without notice. When we do, we will upload an updated version on this page, unless another type of notice is required by applicable law. By continuing to use our service or providing us with Personal Data after we have posted an updated Privacy Policy, or notified you by other means, you consent to the revised Privacy Policy.
