It’s no secret that technology is the currency of today. However, the secret remains in how organisations harness technology to deliver the best customer experience.
After all, customer servicing isn’t just “hello, how can I help you?” It’s also how customers experience products and services online and whether they make life simpler.
Join the Bank al Etihad hackathon of product development, where diverse ideas collide and the best ones emerge as a new product or service. This is where you will unleash your skill, talent, amazing ideas, build teams and collaborate on game-changing products, disrupt the industry and showcase your skill & talent.
We’ve proposed 4 topics and it’s your team’s job to come up with creative solutions and then it’s your moment to shine in front of tech leaders presenting your project “on stage”.
Project ideas for the hackathon
Participants must pick 1 of the following projects to work on:
Cash flow management
To help people understand their spending habits, develop a mobile app that scans receipts using OCR technology to present them with their shopping history.
Subscription management solution
More and more businesses are subscribing to the services of software companies such as Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Office. So, create an online platform that would help companies better manage their payments for subscription services.
The need for chatbots to manage customers’ questions and requests is critical as many rely on websites and mobile apps nowadays. Even though chatbots are everywhere, few are accessible to people with disabilities. So, your task is to build a chatbot that is accessible to blind people. The bot must understand their needs and provide the necessary support.
Buy now, Pay later for university students
Many consumers are looking for the most flexible financing options because of the economic effects caused by the pandemic. Buy Now, Pay Later allows customers to instantly buy items online or in person and pay for them over a specified period. So, we’d like you to build a system or SDK that enables university students to split their online and in-person payments to stay in control and on top of their finances.
Micro payments/ loans
More than 1.7 billion people worldwide don’t have access to the financial services they need.
To address this, build a system that will improve the quality and cost of financial services and find ways to increase access.
